Colin Rex (b.1993) is an adventure photographer born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States. He received his B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of South Carolina in May 2016 with a major in advertising and minor in media arts, and currently works in Denver, Colorado doing marketing, social media, and photography for ARC'TERYX Equipment.

Colin uses his camera to document man's humble place within nature, positioning human models as props to demonstrate the starkness of the landscapes he visits. His clean, minimalistic images strike a balance between fine art and photojournalism by using shape and color to draw attention to the subject. He draws inspiration from daily life and the work of his peers and stays motivated by his own passion for adventure, hoping to travel the world using photography as a means to study and explore it.

Colin's work has been featured in a number of digital and print publications including Rucksack Magazine, Seikk Magazine, and Alloy + Grit, and by brands such as Arc'teryx Equipment, Google, and Raleigh Denim. In 2017, he had work featured in The Climate Museum in New York City and was named one of the 100 Top Photographers of the Year by Unsplash.
